Mission and About Me

stories that make the invisible
visible

Stories shape how we see the world.

I’ve spent my career telling stories that matter: a middle school engineering a prosthetic arm for a classmate, a woman redefining beauty after alopecia, families navigating unexpected diagnoses.

Now, my work is evolving into something more focused...and more urgent.

As a DeafBlind writer and lifelong storyteller, I center stories around disability, accessibility, and lived experience, especially within the Deaf communities. My perspective isn’t just professional; it’s personal. I know what it means to navigate a world that wasn’t designed with you in mind...and how powerful it is when stories begin to change that.

I write and speak about disability advocacy, accessibility, twice exceptionality, and identity, helping individuals, organizations, and audiences better understand what inclusion can look like in real life.

With a background in journalism, editing, and multimedia storytelling, I have experience in long-form writing, video, social media, and narrative strategy. My focus is clear: sharing stories that expand access, challenge assumptions, and make people feel seen.

And this is just the beginning. I’m currently working toward telling even bigger tales—ones that live beyond articles and into the world of books.

I believe in the power of language to transform and connect.

Stories have the ability to shift perspectives, challenge assumptions, and change lives. I know this firsthand; books, conversations, and films have shaped the way I see the world.

Through storytelling, I aim to amplify voices, share lived experiences, and bring visibility to stories that are too often overlooked—especially within the disabled, neurodivergent and Deaf communities. If telling a story can help someone feel seen, understood, or think differently, then my goal was accomplished.

With decades of experience in writing and editing, I focus on sharing what matters—stories that expand access, deepen understanding, and stay with people after they end.

While my work spans topics like travel, health, the outdoors, and education, my passion lies in accessibility in all its forms—and the stories that help move us closer to it.
